2027 RUNOW SPEAKERS (with more to be added as we evolve our 2027 gathering!)
Cate and Jenna Phillips are tattooed moms, unschooling parents, travelers, and the creators of Journey This Abundant Life, a project exploring how healing, family life, and adventure intersect.
Cate is a seasoned B2B sales strategist, certified travel advisor, and DBT enthusiast with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Jenna is a certified Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique practitioner, photographer, videographer, and content creator whose storytelling has reached millions online.
Together they are raising a large family that has fostered nine children and adopted two with special needs. Their family practices unschooling and travels widely while experimenting with what it means to build relationships through connection rather than control.
Through speaking, storytelling, and community work, Cate and Jenna explore how healing ourselves changes the way we raise our children and how families can take up space in the world with intention while supporting each other as they journey and heal.
Amy Jarjusey is founder and coordinator of RUNOW. As a black sheep of her family and always feeling like there was something more to how family foundations could and should be, she found herself in a whirlwind of emotions when she became a mom over 24 years ago.
With her personal life experiences and continuing to be open to all life could be, she found herself on an extremely different parenting path once her first born entered the world. Sharing this conscious living, radical unschooling and worldschooling journey with her five children has not only been the most life-altering, but also deeply healing path she feels blessed to be on.
She and her kids have avidly lived nomadically and traveled extensively to homeschool conferences for decades. Her pure joy and elation over running a conference like this is to truly embrace each an every person on their journey and welcome them into the tribe of alternatively living beings. She thrives deeply on seeing community find their spark and feel truly lifted by others who see them for themselves.
The unschooling journey to Amy does not just involve the educational choices we have made for our families, but it includes us as parents as we unlearn, relearn, and heal on this adventure as well. This journey doesn't stop at "graduation" either because what will our young adults do in a mainstream world? They too, need their community. And while the older unschoolers help and nurture the newer unschoolers, us OGs also need space to explore the "what more" or "what's next" part of our journeys as well.
This gathering is truly meant for everyone and Amy is so excited to welcome you. You may feel enticed to join her as she leads discussions on all of her experiences as a 24 year old veteran radical unschooling, conscious living, nomadic mama of five.
